How to use Discussion Space
That’s right, our Alberta Education Health and Safety Association’s (AEHSA) Google Group Chat is now called Discussion Space
Where? You will find all the hot topics, timely questions and engaging discussions at our new website aehsa.ca .
Why? Our new website contains all our association’s information, directory of all our members, shared resources and now the Discussion Space so we can reach out to our colleagues. It’s a one-stop-shop for all your AEHSA info. Plus this should eliminate the issues some were experiencing when trying to access our Google Chat Group with their work email addresses due to their organization’s firewalls and security.
When? Discussion Space is available now for you to use. The Google Group Chat will end on March 1, 2025. Let’s pack up our keyboards and move over to Discussion Space.
What does this mean for you? Bookmark our website aehsa.ca, click Member Login to enter your email address and password. Click Members Only –> Discussion Space.
Note: Only members who have been registered on our website by their organization can login to use the Discussion Space. Registered members will have received login information. If you haven’t received login information or need to add additional co-workers and are not sure how to add them to your organization’s profile, please let us know at admin@aehsa.ca
What’s the same? In Discussion Space you can still ask questions, share thoughts, and provide resources to our Members (friends and colleagues).
What’s different? Log in to the aehsa.ca website to access the Discussion Space. Although the formatting looks different, there are added features so you can search for specific topics, find any unread messages and reply to just one person to get more information.

Questions & Answers
How do I add a new topic?
Click General Discussion. Click Topic Title.
The body of the post can be typed in the text box.
Add Topic Tag(s) to your post to make it easier for others to search and locate the topic.
Click Subscribe to this topic to receive notifications of responses. * You will receive an email for you to confirm your subscription.
Click Add Topic and your post is now live for others to see.
How do I read and reply to a post?
Click on the post title and type your response. Click Add Reply.
How do I edit my profile (eg. add a Signature to the bottom of my messages) ?
In the Discussion Space, click Forum Profile
Go to the top of the page and find the URL. Type the word account at the end of the URL and click Enter. This will take you to the page where you can make your edits. When done, click Save Changes at bottom of the page.
